Clear terms for a quiet utility.
These terms govern the Drip Type website, macOS and Windows applications, paid plans, updates, and related services operated by VegaNext LLC under the Zap brand.
1. Agreement and operator
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and VegaNext LLC, doing business as Zap ("Zap," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, purchasing, accessing, or using Drip Type, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy and Cancellation & No-Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Drip Type.
If you use Drip Type for a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it, and "you" includes that organization.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, legally capable of forming a binding contract, and permitted to use the service under applicable law. You may not use Drip Type if you are barred from receiving services under United States law or other applicable law.
You must provide an email address you control before checkout. After payment, a private Zap account using that same email is required to activate Drip Type and manage the subscription. You must keep your sign-in credentials and recovery code confidential and notify us if you suspect unauthorized account use. You are responsible for activity under your account except to the extent caused by our failure to use reasonable care.
3. What Drip Type does
Drip Type is a macOS and Windows utility that lets you compose, transform, reuse, and enter user-provided text across desktop applications. Core includes the composer, controlled typing, shortcuts, and local templates. Pro adds expanded local templates, batch personalization, profiles, an explicitly captured clipboard workspace, and deterministic on-device Writing Lab transforms. Current plan details appear at tryzap.net/#pricing.
Compatibility depends on the operating system, hardware, destination-app behavior, secure-field restrictions, and any platform permissions. On macOS, Accessibility and Automation permissions are required. Drip Type is not an artificial-intelligence service, communications provider, academic service, professional adviser, or guarantee that a third-party application will accept automated input or that any particular result will be achieved.
4. No free trial
Drip Type does not offer a free trial. Paid features require a successfully paid, active subscription. Any preview or website demonstration is informational and does not create app access, a trial entitlement, a money-back guarantee, or a right to a refund.
5. Paid subscriptions and renewal
Core and Pro are monthly subscriptions. The price, currency, billing interval, included features, taxes, total due, no-trial policy, and cancellation terms are displayed before you confirm Stripe Checkout. By completing checkout, you authorize Stripe and Zap to charge the selected payment method at purchase and automatically at each monthly renewal until you cancel.
Each Zap account maps to one Stripe customer and one current Drip Type subscription. Before creating a new Checkout Session, our systems use the email you provide to look for an existing current subscription or unfinished Checkout Session. When one is found, a new checkout is blocked and you are directed to sign in, manage billing, or resume checkout. This safeguard reduces accidental duplicate purchases but does not replace your responsibility to review the order and payment method before confirming payment. If you believe you have duplicate subscriptions or charges, contact support so we can investigate before you purchase again.
We may change future prices or plan contents by giving notice required by law. A price change will not take effect for you before the date disclosed in that notice. If you do not accept a change, you may cancel before it takes effect. We retain records of affirmative subscription consent and provide an order acknowledgment and online cancellation method as required by applicable law.
6. Payment processing
Stripe processes payment credentials, checkout, invoices, and subscription management. You agree to provide accurate billing information and authorize Stripe to use it to process charges. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number. Payment failures may suspend paid access until resolved.
7. Cancellation, plan changes, and refunds
You may cancel online through Stripe's Customer Portal, opened from your Zap account or the Billing page in Drip Type. Cancellation stops future renewals and ordinarily takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. Deleting the app or your local app data does not cancel a subscription. Plan changes, credits, and proration are shown in the Customer Portal before confirmation.
There is no money-back guarantee. Payments are final and non-refundable, including renewal charges and unused portions of a billing period, except where a refund or other remedy is required by applicable law. Cancellation alone does not create a right to a prorated refund. See our Cancellation & No-Refund Policy.
8. License
Subject to these Terms and an active paid entitlement, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use Drip Type on supported Mac or Windows devices for your lawful internal purposes. A paid subscription may be activated on up to three devices. The software is licensed, not sold.
You may not copy or distribute the software except for a reasonable backup; rent, lease, resell, sublicense, or provide it as a service bureau; bypass subscriptions, device limits, signatures, or other access controls; reverse engineer or modify it except where applicable law expressly permits and cannot be waived; remove proprietary notices; or use the service to develop or train a competing product through unauthorized extraction.
9. Your content and local data
You retain ownership of text and other content you provide. You grant us only the limited rights reasonably necessary to process billing, activation, support, and service requests you initiate. Drip Type 1.7 keeps writing content described in the Privacy Policy on your device and does not upload it to Zap for writing processing.
You are responsible for keeping local data and appropriate backups, reviewing generated or transformed text before use, confirming the active destination field, and ensuring that you have the right to use and enter content in each destination. We are not responsible for content entered into an unintended field after you start a typing run.
10. Acceptable use
You must not use Drip Type to violate law, academic-integrity rules, contractual obligations, or third-party rights; impersonate or deceive people; distribute malware; harass, threaten, exploit, or defraud; send unlawful spam or evade platform safeguards; interfere with the service; probe or bypass security; automate access to secure or prohibited fields; defeat plagiarism, proctoring, access-control, anti-bot, or examination safeguards; or help another person do any of these things. You are responsible for the messages you send and the destinations in which you use the utility.
11. Platform access and safety controls
On macOS, Drip Type requires Accessibility and Automation permissions to enter keystrokes into another application; macOS controls those permissions, and you can revoke them in System Settings. On Windows, Drip Type uses the native Windows input service. Use the emergency stop shortcut whenever typing is directed to the wrong field. You assume the ordinary risks of automated keyboard input and are responsible for confirming the active destination before starting a typing session.
12. Updates and changes to the service
Drip Type may check for and install verified updates. macOS releases are signed and notarized; Windows release integrity is checked against update metadata. Updates may add, change, or remove features, address security or compatibility, or be required for continued access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the service. Where required, we will provide notice of a material adverse change to paid functionality and preserve any non-waivable rights.
13. Third-party services
Drip Type interoperates with macOS, Windows, and destination applications and uses Stripe, Vercel, and GitHub for billing, hosting, encrypted account storage, licensing, and release delivery. Third-party products are governed by their own terms and may change or restrict automated input. Apple, Microsoft, Stripe, Vercel, GitHub, and destination-app providers do not sponsor or warrant Drip Type unless they expressly say otherwise.
14. Ownership and feedback
Drip Type, Zap, the Zap mark, source and object code, interface, website, documentation, and related intellectual property are owned by VegaNext LLC or its licensors and are protected by law. Except for the license in Section 8, no rights are granted. If you voluntarily provide product feedback, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use it without identifying you or owing compensation.
15. Support
Support is available through the private website support form. We aim to respond reasonably but do not promise a particular response time, uninterrupted support, or a fix for every third-party compatibility issue unless required by law.
16. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Drip Type at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for nonpayment, fraud, material breach, security risk, unlawful use, or conduct that threatens the service or others. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to cure. Upon termination, the license ends; provisions that by their nature should survive—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and general terms—remain effective.
17. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DRIP TYPE AND RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." WE DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE AGAINST EVERY THREAT, COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY APP, OR SUITABLE FOR HIGH-RISK OR SAFETY-CRITICAL USE. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE GRADES, ACADEMIC OR EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES, DEADLINES, DELIVERABILITY, THIRD-PARTY PLATFORM ACCESS, OR THE ACCURACY OR ACCEPTANCE OF ANY TEXT. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES A WARRANTY OR CONSUMER RIGHT THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED.
18. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VEGANEXT LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, LICENSORS, AND PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, MISDIRECTED TEXT, MISSED DEADLINES, ACCOUNT OR PLATFORM ACTIONS, OR ACADEMIC, EMPLOYMENT, OR OTHER THIRD-PARTY CONSEQUENCES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO DRIP TYPE, EVEN IF ADVISED THAT SUCH DAMAGES WERE POSSIBLE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF US$50 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR DRIP TYPE IN THE SIX MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. YOUR PRIMARY REMEDY FOR DISSATISFACTION IS TO STOP USING DRIP TYPE AND CANCEL FUTURE RENEWALS. CANCELLATION DOES NOT CREATE A REFUND RIGHT. THESE LIMITS APPLY REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY BUT DO NOT APPLY TO LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.
19. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, if you use Drip Type on behalf of a business, that business will defend and indemnify VegaNext LLC against third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from its unlawful content, misuse of the service, or material breach of these Terms. This section does not apply to an individual consumer where prohibited by law.
20. Governing law and disputes
California law governs these Terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that is not eligible for small-claims court will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and each party consents to their jurisdiction. This section does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections or courts available under the law of their residence. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive participation in a class action.
21. General terms
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Cancellation & No-Refund Policy, and checkout disclosures are the entire agreement concerning Drip Type and replace prior terms on that subject. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the rest will remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, reorganization, financing, or sale of the relevant business. We are not responsible for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control. Headings are for convenience only.
22. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the revised version and effective date and give additional notice when required. Material changes apply prospectively. Continuing to use Drip Type after an effective change constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by law.
